Bounce Rate

The Bounce Rate of a page shows how often it has been the only page visited during a session

• It is calculated as the percentage of total visits to a page where the visitor just viewed that page and then left.
• The session may have a referrer, or could be "direct" traffic (no referrer).

High bounce rates on landing pages or your homepage may indicate problems. Investigate these pages with Heatmaps and Session Replay

A high bounce rate on, e.g. a contact page may be a positive indicator that visitors who were simply looking for contact details have completed their task.
